The Certificate IV in Community Services replaces the Certificate IV in Disability from 2016. This new program gives graduates a variety of employment opportunities within the health, disability and community services industries. At Certificate IV level you will gain experience across several Community Services contexts. You will gain the skills and knowledge to design and deliver person-centred services to individuals and groups in the community services context. You will learn to provide advocacy, intervention, and support to a range of individuals and groups. You will also develop skills in liaising with other health professionals and service agencies, and in the co-ordination of small teams. Graduates of the Certificate IV in Community Services can further their studies at Diploma level in Community Services or Nursing.
