On our BSc Criminology and Social Policy degree you will develop a detailed understanding of the causes of crime and classic and contemporary approaches to crime prevention, as well as the impact of social policy on problems such as poverty, inequality and social exclusion. This specification provides a concise summary of the main features of the programme and the learning outcomes that a typical student might reasonably be expected to achieve and demonstrate if full advantage is taken of the learning opportunities that are provided. On successful completion of this programme, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in the following areas: A broad overview of contemporary British social policy.
