Our BSc Economics with an integrated foundation year and year abroad (5 years) combines a three-year degree in Economics with a bespoke foundation year, providing a smooth pathway for international and EU students not currently eligible for entry to a three-year degree programme. The content and teaching in the foundation year (year one) helps you to build the skills you will need to prepare for the remainder of the programme. The second and third years cover a core of macroeconomics, microeconomics and the quantitative techniques used in economic analysis and investigation. You will spend your fourth year of study abroad. Final-year options enable you to apply this core knowledge to a variety of more specialised areas in economics and finance. Our degree is about the real world: about how people respond to incentives, and the production and allocation of resources.
