Our staff have expertise in knitted, printed and woven textiles, materials research, craft, technology, heritage and sustainability – and a network of industry contacts to support your professional development. You'll learn about a diverse range of textiles markets, how to identify and achieve your commercial potential and how to develop and refine your knowledge. We place an emphasis on practice-based research that explores materials and processes from diverse sources and engages with critical debates and design challenges. Due to the open and explorative nature of the course, students from non-textiles backgrounds are welcomed.
