The new millennium has brought change to the global media landscape, and the majority of publications are now accessed online. The Journalism Digital MA aims to prepare graduates for a career working at the forefront of the digital media revolution where expectations of speed, accuracy, and quality are high.<br><br>This programme is designed to match the skillset required of a rapidly evolving industry, with an emphasis on the technical side of digital journalism, with core writing and production skills. Students will be able to study the work of correspondents and specialist journalists, and have the opportunity to develop their own areas of interest, choosing the subjects, style, and medium that are of particular interest to them. Alongside practical learning, students can also study a range of critical and theoretical issues, such as the relationship between digital journalism and human rights.<br><br>A two-week work placement enables students to experience a professional journalism environment and connect their academic learning with professional practice. This work placement is an integral, taught, and assessed feature of the course. Students are responsible for their travel, accommodation, and general living costs while undertaking a work placement.
