国际学生入学条件

New Zealand Certificate in Music (Level 4) or equivalent skills and knowledge.

English language requirements

IELTS test: Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5. TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 46 (with a writing score of 14); PTE (Academic) score of 42 with no band score lower than 36; Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First or B2 First for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill. OET: Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests. NZCEL - Level 4 (General) or (Employment). Language Cert - B2 Communicator International ESOL Written (LRW) HIGH PASS with no less than 25/50 in each skill and Spoken (S) PASS

A qualification considered to be equivalent to the above.

Special Entry

In exceptional circumstances, an applicant who does not meet the full entry requirements may be granted admission to the programme on the approval of the Head of Department or delegate if he/she is confident of the applicant’s ability to successfully undertake the Diploma with a reasonable likelihood of success.

Qualifications other than those listed in the Entry Requirements above will need to be assessed for equivalence, and applicants holding these qualifications will need to seek Special Entry permission from the Head of Department.

Advance your skills to prepare yourself for live and studio sound production. Build upon the New Zealand Certificate in Music learning additional skills in composing for commercial and personal projects managing, coordinating and performing at gigs and events sound engineering for live and studio music productions promoting own work through a mix of traditional and online marketing strategies This diagram [PDF, 537 KB] shows study pathways between the New Zealand Certificate in Music (Level 4), and the New Zealand Diploma Music (Level 5). State of the art facilities You will have the opportunity to organise and perform with fellow students in our Johnny Cash performance theatre. Music students have exclusive use of our recording studios. Study alongside other creative industries students from Arts, Media, Interior Design and Creative Writing, in our purpose-built Creative Industries building on Nile Street. What will I learn Sound Production Four courses are designed to prepare you for live and studio sound production. Build upon MUS401 Sound Production Fundamentals and MUS402 Live and Studio Sound Production Techniques from the first year Certificate programme; In MUS501 Sound Engineering and Production for Contemporary Musicians you will advance your knowledge of audio equipment, methods and techniques and develop practical skills for recorded and live music production. In MUS502 Advanced Live and Studio Sound Production you will use audio equipment, music software, methods and techniques effectively in recorded and live sound production.
