Beyond the performers who bring audiences to their feet, is a larger industry of dance professionals. A career in dance can take you into teaching, research, dance therapy, arts management or community arts management. If you're passionate about dance, but you'd prefer to take the lead without being on the stage, this course could be just what you've been looking for. This course offers training in the core technique of contemporary dance and experience in a broad range of genres including ballet, hip hop, jazz and yoga, in addition to alternative dance styles from a diverse range of global cultures, including Latin. Duo and partnering are also learnt within these styles. This course offers training in a broad range of genres and a variety of choreographic experiences, supported by theoretical knowledge. You'll also gain cross-disciplinary experience and engage with a broad spectrum of technologies through projects with students studying acting, music and other disciplines. <br><br>Your early technique studies focus on physical and conceptual approaches. You will learn the fundamentals of choreography, dance history and dance analysis as well as taking part in performance work.
