The Business with Marketing course gives you an in-depth understanding of business from the viewpoint of the marketing function. It is one of the pathways available in the Business Management degree cluster. The Business with Marketing pathway should appeal particularly to you if you see marketing as being central to an organisation’s strategy, and if you are interested in the broad range of activities that fit within the general category of marketing. You’ll learn about a wide range of marketing issues including the marketing mix, consumer behaviour, branding and advertising. The changing nature of marketing will be an important component of your studies. You’ll see the breadth of the marketing function within an organisation and the extent to which it is central to strategy for many businesses. You will study the techniques and approaches used by businesses to build an understanding of their customers and to target their offerings appropriately. Gain an overview of the concepts, theories and techniques that contribute to an understanding of business management. Learn the principles of marketing and understand different approaches to marketing. Become familiar with the tools and techniques available to develop and understand the nature of the demand for a product or service within a market. Learn about different areas of marketing and how they all relate to one another.
