HR professionals deal with a vast range of business-critical issues, creating high-performing teams, shaping workplace policies like redundancy, maternity leave and rewards, and supporting strategic decisions on areas like recruitment. We?ve designed this course to give you the knowledge you need to help organisations succeed in today's business world. You'll gain up-to-date knowledge of key operational areas including resourcing, employment law, employment relations and managing performance. We'll start by teaching you the basic principles of managing people, analysing information and handling accounts. Then, you'll expand into topics like sustainability and psychology, with the chance to specialise in the areas that interest you most. In your final year, you'll also be able to pick your own subject as a research topic and apply your findings to contemporary issues within HR management (HRM). We provide plenty of opportunities to expand on your degree. You can choose to study a language, spend a year working on placement, or study with one of our partner institutions abroad. By the time you graduate, you won?t just have a good knowledge of the role, you'll also have a deeper understanding of the business and legislative landscape.
