Students who are younger than 15 or whose English is weaker may take the IGCSE course in the normal two years instead of one year. In the first year, students follow a study programme which consists of intensive general and academic English as well as. The Two Year IGCSE course covers a wide-range of subjects at an introductory level. It allows students to develop their language skills across the curriculum, raises awareness about the range of subjects available whilst increasing their understanding of the British education system. The course design is influenced by the IB Middle Years programme.
