Studying Management and Human Resources at Lancaster helps to develop an understanding of many current and critical questions about the changing nature of organisations, work and management practices. From managing change to organisational design, organisational behaviour to human resource management and corporate social responsibility and technology and ethics, Management and Human Resources is crucial to an organisation's success. Such knowledge provides a solid basis for skilled professionals to design and implement meaningful and appropriate management interventions.<br><br>This degree focuses on understanding people – the way we work and how our behaviour can be influenced through management practices. We primarily adopt social and psychological perspectives to understand management (rather than primarily maths and statistical understandings).<br><br>Our teaching approach blends academic material with practical insights and exercises. We place a strong emphasis on collaborative working, that support your personal development as well as your academic skills. You will be taught by academics who are tackling the big questions of the day such as business ethics, sustainability, artificial intelligence, ethnic and cultural diversity, and the implications of technology in society.
