Makea career out of beinga 'people person'. In this major, students will gain the essential skills needed to get the most from a team of workers. Students will learn about staff management, recruitment, team member performance, up-skilling and development, and resolving workplace conflict. In their first year, students will complete the eight core modules required for the applied management degree. These modules will give students the important broad skills needed to excel in any area of business. For their second year, students will take three modules for the human resources management major, choose three other modules that can be toward a second major, and two more core modules – Applied Management and Research Methodology. In the third year, students will study two more human resources management modules and two other courses towards a second major. Students will also apply their skill on work placement with a local business.
