Our three-year BSc Accounting and Finance programme is designed to equip you for a successful career in the accountancy profession or financial sector, or for a financial role in industry or government. Highly sought after by diverse employers around the world, we're proud of our graduates who go onto become accountants, auditors, tax specialists, financial analysts, fund managers, traders, brokers and investment researchers. When you arrive in the Department of Accounting and Finance you will be allocated a personal tutor who will guide you through the three year course. As part of your first year of study, you will complete 7 core modules as well as having the opportunity to study two modules outside of accounting and finance. You will also participate in the professional skills module which involves a trip to our activity centre at Coniston in the Lake District. This unique activity provides an outward bound experience where you will face challenges with other students on the Accounting and Finance course, allowing you to develop key teamworking, leadership and presentation skills which you will build on throughout your degree in preparation for your future career.
