The Organizational Leadership Sequence prepares students to excel in a wide range of jobs and positions. The organizational leadership (OL) sequence helps students develop skills necessary for success in leadership positions in business and not-for-profit organizations in the 21st century. Courses within this curriculum focus on the field of organizational behavior and leadership by analyzing theoretical and practical approaches to studying management. Students take specialized courses in Team Development, Decision Making, Organizational Change, Organizational Culture, and Leadership Theory and Practice. Professors have doctoral degrees and conduct timely research within the various disciplines related to the courses they teach. With small class sizes, professors engage their students in community involvement, practice-oriented activities, and stimulating discussion. Many graduates of organizational leadership enter a management training program with their employers to become familiar with company policies and industry dynamics. Other graduates of this specialized skills-based sequence eventually may choose to pursue graduate education.
