A major in economic consulting opens up a wide path of careers, especially in the consulting and financial services industries. Economic consultants use economic theory to make business decisions and share forecasts that guide organizations. Graduates with economic consulting majors are in high demand: About 95 percent of seniors find jobs before graduation.
