This certificate will provide graduate students with a set of courses focused on the development of financial skill sets that are utilized in business and not for profit organizations. Furthermore, like any organization (profit or non-profit), students will also benefit from an expanded knowledge of investment and financing fundamentals that can be used at an individual level. The certificate is designed to provide the student with a foundation of theoretical and practical tools to understand financial issues facing a global economy. Students must achieve an average GPA of 3.00 in the courses applied toward the certificate and complete all certificate course work within six years immediately preceding awarding of the certificate.
