Accounting is the study of the language of business and provides the foundation for all financial processes within an organization. It is the discipline of analyzing business data and transactions, determining the monetary effects of these transactions, preparing financial statements and reports, and acting as a business consultant to management for making effective operational and financial decisions. The BBA in Accounting is a very challenging program that prepares students for postgraduation accounting careers. The curriculum is guided in part by an Advisory Board made up of top professionals from the accounting community. Students can specialize in one of four areas within the field of accounting by concentrating their electives in their area of interest: Public Accounting, Governmental or Institutional Accounting, Management Accounting, Internal Auditing or Information System Auditing.
