Applicants are ordinarily expected to hold a bachelor's degree from a college or university of recognized standing prior to registration, and should have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or higher.
The Graduate School accepts all valid forms of TOEFL testing. Krannert School of Management requirements are: Paper based-test (minimum score of 600), computer-based test (minimum score of 260), and Internet-based test (minimum score of Writing 20, Speaking 22, Listening 18, Reading 22, and Total of 93). For the Internet-based test, all 5 minimum scores must be satisfied.
The Graduate School accepts the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. A copy of the official IELTS report must be scanned and uploaded into the online application. Krannert School of Management requirements are: An overall band score of 7.5 is required for admission, with 7.0 required per each section.

The Krannert full time MBA Management Information Systems (MIS) specialization or option area is the use of people, processes and technologies in solving business problems. Objectives - To improve your information technology knowledge and skill for acquiring, organizing, and communicating information required to solve business problems and become a knowledgeable participant in IT-related decisions and discussions, To develop your expertise in identifying ways to use information technology in your area of responsibility by way of understanding alternative IT infrastructures and To familiarize you with some classic examples of strategic uses of IT, organizational change through IT, and business transformation using information technology in order to identify future opportunities.<br><br>Management Information Systems (MIS) is the art and science of gathering, collecting, storing, analyzing, and disseminating of information for managerial decision making. The emphasis is on improving business processes through information technology. The MIS faculty conduct research and teach courses to further expand our understanding of management information systems.<br><br>The Illustrious Purdue University Engineering Mall.The current research emphasis of the MIS group at Purdue's Krannert School of Management is on database systems, computer networks, information security and privacy, human computer interaction, knowledge management, evolutionary computation, intelligent systems, and e-commerce particularly, in the areas of infrastructure design, information goods, bundling, and pricing. Our MIS group also encourages and supports cross-disciplinary research as these areas relate to our MIS mission and changing research challenges and opportunities.
