This certificate of proficiency parallels the state's requirement for the Real Estate Salesperson license. It is recommended for anyone wishing to obtain a real estate sales license which allows for immediate vocational employment. The Real Estate program delivers courses in principles, practice, finance, legal aspects, escrow, appraisal, and other aspects of real estate. Courses are intended to prepare students for real estate licensing and related careers, for baccalaureate degree transfer, and to provide personal enrichment and life-long learning to students in the community. Students who complete the core curriculum are equipped with not only marketable skills, but also the coursework necessary to sit for the California Real Estate Sales and/or Broker's Examinations. In addition, individual courses in such areas as property management and real estate finance will provide students with entry-level skills in these areas.
