The BS in Real Estate, offered by the NYU School of Professional Studies Schack Institute of Real Estate, prepares students to understand the basic elements of real estate within the urban landscape. The program is specifically designed for students who want to study full time, during the day. The Real Estate degree builds upon a solid liberal arts core and business foundation. Under the guidance of a distinguished faculty of prominent professionals in the real estate industry, students acquire knowledge of cutting-edge trends in real estate finance, real estate law, real estate economics and market analysis, as well as key aspects of the real estate development process, and asset and portfolio management.As part of their program of study, students complete a 52-credit liberal arts core requirement plus an additional 16 credits of liberal arts electives and required courses. Forty-four credits of the curriculum are devoted to the in-depth study of all facets of the real estate industry, with an additional 16 credits in real estate electives.
