The Risk Management and Insurance major prepares students for exciting careers in an industry that has a high demand for talent. Students at Ole Miss gain marketable skills regarding the assessment and management of risk.Ole Miss students perform a comprehensive risk management audit, write a report on recommendations and present it to industry experts. Student internships include duties ranging from designing social media strategies for insurance brokers to underwriting insurance policies.<br><br>KEY BENEFITS<br>In addition to teaching relevant skills, this program helps students secure jobs by way of a department resume book, two annual career fairs, guest speakers, and funded student travel to local and national conferences. Each year, the department awards over 40,000 in scholarships to Ole Miss students in the program. Our program is one of only 12 US-based Risk Management and Insurance programs designated as a Global Center of Insurance Excellence.
