Mathematics is important to all areas of our society and to almost any career. The two degree programs provide students with the opportunity to develop their analytical thinking, quantitative reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The BS degree offers students the depth and rigor required for graduate studies in mathematics or related fields and also offers a broad background appropriate for students planning to pursue a job in a variety of careers in business, industry, government, or teaching.
