To be considered for admission to UCSB, applicants must have received a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better) from an accredited university prior to the quarter for which admission is sought.
TOEFL scores 550 Paper-Based Test (PBT), 80 Internet-Based Test (IBT) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Overall Band score of 7 or higher (if applicable).
The deadlines for MA applications are as follows: Fall quarter: February 15; Winter quarter: November 1; Spring quarter: January 10

课程简介
The Department of Statistics and Applied Probability offers an MA in Statistics (In addition to the Ph.D. in Statistics and Applied Probability - described on another page). This degree trains students in the methodology and theory of modern statistical practice by teaching data-science procedures and their applications to statistical problems. In keeping with this objective, students within the Applied Statistics and Data Science specializations are required to become skilled at statistical computing and participate actively in the consulting projects that arise in Data Lab, our Data Science Consulting Laboratory
