Secondary educational systems vary across the globe. The United States has a 12-year secondary educational system. Many countries have 10, 11, or 13-year secondary educational systems. If you have attended school in a country where the secondary system differs from the United States, you may be eligible for admission. Each undergraduate admissions application is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The International Admissions Office completes in-house evaluations of all international credentials and coursework. If a student has attended an educational institution within the U.S., official documents must be sent directly from the institution to WKU. Students may provide a color scan of credentials earned outside the U.S. While an admission decision can be made based upon scanned documents, students are required to present official documents to the International Admissions Office upon arrival to campus. Consulates & embassies often serve as a resource for the attestation of educational documents.
Official Academic Records from schools attended with grades and any degrees/diplomas/certificates received. Should also include a literal English translation.
Financial Evidence of Support must be provided to obtain an I-20

课程简介
major in middle grades mathematics is for students who plan to teach mathematics in grades 5-9 only. The degree requires a second major in Science and Mathematics education (reference number 774). Upon successful completion of both majors, the student will receive a Bachelor of Science degree. Mathematics majors are available to those planning to pursue careers in secondary and middle grades education, as well as to those whose preparation is being directed toward positions in business and industry, or toward further work in mathematics at the graduate level. In addition, several courses are offered to meet the demands for the mathematical training of students whose major educational objectives are not directly related to mathematics. Mathematics majors are assigned faculty mentors/advisors from among the departmental faculty and are required to consult with these faculty members before each registration period. Basic major for employment in mathematical careers that do not require teacher certification. Appropriate for students majoring in complementary disciplines wanting a double-major in mathematics. All degree-seeking students are required to consult with their advisor to have the advising hold lifted prior to registration. The academic advisor assists the student in the selection of courses that will provide appropriate preparation for his/her career objectives, and assure timely completion of degree program requirements. The Department of Mathematics at Western Kentucky University is home to a diverse faculty who excel in teaching, research, and service. We are positioned to provide, strengthen and support mathematics and statistics education at all levels within the University. Additionally, our Department is fortunate to have a very cordial and competent staff to support its faculty, student population, and the entire university community.
