Analysis is the mathematical investigation of functional relationships. The University of Idaho Mathematics faculty includes a strong group of researchers in both pure and applied aspects of analysis. Strengths include differential equations, probability theory, functional analysis, and mathematical modeling. With an advanced degree in this field, you will develop the ability to apply complex mathematical theories, computational techniques and algorithms to solve economic, scientific, engineering, physics and business-related problems.
