The Exercise Science degree is designed for students interested in a career in the clinical or fitness industry or as preparation for graduate studies (including physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, medical school, biomedical research, and college level strength and conditioning coach.) The program culminates with a 360 hours capstone experience in a clinical or strength and conditioning setting. The University of West Florida undergraduate Exercise Science program is endorsed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) education recognition program (ERP) and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Exercises.
