MSU's master's program in Exercise Physiology is centered on research conducted both independently and in the classroom. With an 8:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students are given the individualized attention that they need to flourish and succeed. Students who finish the program are well-prepared for clinical work, strength and conditioning, and the conduction of research. Often, graduates of the program serve as coaches, work in strength and conditioning programs, or perform clinical work associated with health and exercise. The goal of the graduate program in Exercise Physiology is to encourage critical and reflective thinking in students and enable them to synthesize the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of human movement in a variety of community, research, clinical, or athletic settings, or to pursue advanced study at the doctoral level.
