This particular course examines the historical and contemporary role of leadership in the globalized sport industry. Students will also have the opportunity to study and identify effective leaders across the sport industry and create a personal leadership portfolio. The course is open to all students, regardless of current major. The Sport Leadership and Administration BA is designed for those of diverse backgrounds looking to coach, become an athletic director or team owner, get into sports marketing or sports broadcasting, or explore many other aspects of the sport industry, including, but not limited to, finance, social media, and event management.
