The Physical Education stream equips you to be trained as a physical education teacher (K-12) in the public and private school system where you can pass on your love of sport, activity, recreation, health and fitness to children and teens who need a positive and inspirational role model. Students must meet the external requirements of the British Columbia Teachers Federation (BCTF) and the Professional Development Program (PDP). Students can take a concurrent education program available from Trinity Western University that enables graduation within a five years or apply after a four year degree for the two year PDP program. Prospective teachers can select from a Bachelor of Arts, a Concentration, or a Minor in Elementary School Physical Education depending on their preference for teaching in a secondary or elementary school setting.
