课程简介
Students in the Resource Management emphasis area focus on the interactions of people and nature. A primary focus is how we can sustainably maintain natural areas for the enjoyment of people, emphasizing access now while caring for our natural resources. Students in this emphasis area typically seek employment in federal, state, and municipal agencies as park rangers or naturalists, park planners, facility managers, and outdoor recreation planners among many other opportunities.Hikers, anglers, hunters, paddlers, backpackers, climbers and adventures of all types call the Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services department home. As the only accredited program in the state of Minnesota, the RPLS Bachelor of Science degree prepares students to enter the field of Resource Management (RM). Students who earn RM degrees will be ready to be the environmental stewards of the future. RM is for students looking to incorporate their personal value of nature into their professional careers. As a natural resource manager, your work can take many paths, from working in state and national parks to local and regional natural areas. You can choose your own trail. Along the way, you will be surrounded by students and faculty with a distinct appreciation for the outdoors, and you will be challenged to help others make nature a part of their own lives – just like it is a part of yours.
