The Barista Skills Certificate (Level 3) offers professional barista training in a real cafe environment. It is primarily a practical based training programme that will allow you to gain the skills necessary to become a barista. After completing this programme you'll have the knowledge and essential practical skills to attain a barista position within the hospitality industry. We teach you the basic techniques of espresso-making and supervise you in an operational cafe where you will perfect coffee making for paying customers. Students will gain technical and practical skills as well as the confidence from working in a real cafe. The programme is based in Asquith Cafe which is an operational training facility and will be 80% practical based learning with 20% theory. The maximum number for this programme is 6 students per intake. This allows for intensive training in a practical environment, maximum supervision when working as part of the cafe team and sufficient time to learn and complete theory to a high standard.
