Develop your communication, cafe and barista skills and improve your understanding of business operating procedures.Learning in our campus cafe from tutors with extensive experience you'll acquire the skills to produce a range of bar and barista beverages to a high standard and provide informal table service.You'll also gain an understanding of operating procedures in cafes, bars and restaurants and learn how to communicate effectively in these environments.Note: You can concurrently enrol in both the Level 3 and Level 4 components of the New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage Service.This programme is also offered for Youth Guarantee students. You can apply for these options if you're 16 to 19 years of age and no longer at school, or if you're planning on leaving school.As a graduate of this programme you'll have the skills to provide barista and table service in licensed and unlicensed cafes, bars and restaurants.
