The STEM-certified Master of Science in Quantitative Economics provides students with a solid foundation in economic theory, quantitative methodology and analysis, and their real world applications. Although students with or without an undergraduate degree in Economics are encouraged to apply to the program, students those with a strong undergraduate foundation in economics, mathematics, and/or statistics will be much better prepared for the program curriculum. A well-prepared student can typically complete the program in twelve to eighteen months. Students needing supplementary preparation in mathematics, statistics, or economics usually complete the program in 18 months to two years. <br>Students will learn micro and macroeconomic theories at the appropriate level and will be able to use these theories to analyze economic problems and issues relevant to the local, state, national, or global economy. With this knowledge, students will be able to understand and critically assess scholarly economics articles and propose possible pathways for future research.<br>Students will learn practical skills in collecting, processing, interpreting and analyzing economic data with appropriate statistical and econometric techniques.
