To be considered for acceptance to one of the graduate programs at The University of Akron, the following admission criteria are examined:
A preferred minimum of 3.0 GPA, on a 4.0 scale, from an accredited undergraduate program.
For those that have lower than a 3.0 GPA, individual consideration may be made based upon the GMAT, GRE, or equivalent scores.
For those that have a 3.0 GPA or higher, but lack three years of work experience, a GMAT score of 500 or higher is preferred to indicate potential success in the graduate program.
Admittance without a GMAT test requirement may be granted to those holding a graduate degree from an accredited university or those with three or more years of professional work experience beyond the earned bachelor’s degree.
Applicants holding a degree from outside the United States and with an academic standing of first or high second class, satisfactory evidence of competence in English (i.e., TOEFL score of 79 or above or IELTS score of 6.5 or above) is required.

课程简介
The Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (SCM) is offered for students who want to pursue advanced study in Supply Chain operations.<br><br>The MSM-BA-SCM degree recognizes that analytics is now central to how supply chains are established, organized, and managed through sourcing, operations, and logistics. It is built on five core courses about how and why businesses use analytics; how data is served through databases and used through business intelligence; and how analytics models are created, evaluated, and used.<br><br>The Master of Science in Management -Business Analytics (MSM-BA) in Supply Chain Management is approved as a federal STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS)U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recognizes graduates of this program residing on student visas as eligible for an optional practical training (OPT) extension. While regular international students are able to remain in the country and receive training through work experience for up to 12 months, students who graduate from a designated STEM degree program, such as our MSM in Information Systems program, may be eligible for an additional 24 months on an OPT STEM extension.
