To be eligible for admission to the Master of Social Welfare (MSW) Program at Berkeley, applicants must meet all of the following requirements: Possession of a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. A satisfactory scholastic average, generally a minimum grade-point average of B or better (3.0 on a 4-point scale). Sufficient undergraduate preparation and training for graduate study in social welfare. Applicants for admission to the MSW program must have strong academic preparation in the liberal arts and sciences, including coursework in the social and behavioral sciences.
