Enhance the human service systems that serve our communities.<br>As a student in the Human Services BA at UMass Boston, you will learn how to become a change agent in your community by deepening your understanding of social issues and the systems in place to address them. You will study human services using an ecological framework that envisions the individual in constant interaction with his or her environment, and gain hands-on experience with human service practices.<br><br>In this program, you will:<br><br>Develop an understanding of social problems and the impact of social systems on individuals and communities<br>Learn how to assess community needs and design effective interventions to address those needs<br>Gain the skills and knowledge necessary to work effectively with diverse populations and advocate for social justice
