In addition to the Graduate College minimum requirements, applicants must meet the following program requirements: Baccalaureate Field No restrictions. Previous course work in psychology preferred. Grade Point Average At least 2.75/4.00 for the final 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of undergraduate study and a 3.00/4.00 grade point average for all postbaccalaureate or graduate course work combined.
Minimum English Competency Test Score: TOEFL 80, with sub scores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Speaking 20, and Writing 21 (iBT Test); 60, with sub scores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Writing 21 (revised Paper-Delivered Test), OR, IELTS 6.5, with sub scores of 6.0 for all four sub scores, OR, PTE-Academic 54, with sub scores of Reading 51, Listening 47, Speaking 53, and Writing 56.

The MEd in Youth Development program will prepare you to create and impact spaces, programs, and organizations in urban contexts to support youth in developing their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual selves.<br><br>Program courses and curriculum are designed to develop youth-dedicated professionals who understand the diverse contexts where youth learn and live. Graduates understand and value engagement with community and school stakeholders to foster youth’s strengths.<br><br>Examples of the types of organizations where Youth Development graduates work:<br><br>Community-based organizations<br>Not-for-profit organizations<br>Schools and school systems<br>Government<br>Social service organizations<br>Faith-based organizations
