Studying Political Science as part of the BA degree provides students with a great deal of flexibility, allowing students to pursue their interests as they see fit following their first year of study. As a department that provides comprehensive course offerings that cover the entirety of the discipline, students have the option of navigating through any and all of our diverse subfields or focus more closely on a select field of study through our concentrations. Moreover, students can also choose to pair a major in Political Science with a myriad of other disciplines in the Social Sciences by selecting a double major or a minor. The program is designed to allow for flexibility, and tailored to meet your interests. <br><br>This three-year program provides foundational knowledge of politics in Canada and internationally, as well as in political theory or methodology. The program teaches you to probe a variety of sources for information, to make critical assessments of your findings, and to present them orally or in writing. Note that this program is not normally sufficient to continue to a graduate degree.
