Whether youre interested in launching a career on Capitol Hill, learning how to manage and motivate people, or protecting the planet, a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs (BSPA) degree equips you with the skills to make a difference. With the ONeill School's core public affairs coursework, youll study the basics of policymaking, budgeting, and finance. Youll also pick a major and develop leadership and analytical skills that can be applied to your specific area of interest. With a major in nonprofit management and leadership, you'll gain the skills you need to run organizations and programs that provide essential services to people from all walks of life. Youll learn how to manage people, projects, and communication. You can study cost-benefit analysis, fund development, and financial management in order to graduate with the managerial tools necessary to lead healthy organizations while advancing a cause or mission that youre passionate about.
