Whether youre interested in launching a career on Capitol Hill, learning how to manage and motivate people, or protecting the planet, a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs (BSPA) degree equips you with the skills to make a difference. With the ONeill School's core public affairs coursework, youll study the basics of policymaking, budgeting, and finance. Youll also pick a major and develop leadership and analytical skills that can be applied to your specific area of interest. With a major in management, youll graduate with leadership skills that you can take with you inside corporate board rooms, to committee meetings with elected officials, or to budget hearings on behalf of a government agency. Youll study many of the same topics as in a business management major, but with a special focus on the public and nonprofit arenas.
