UTSA's Public Administration degree prepares students to take on a wide range of issues such as environmental sustainability, affordable housing, educational equity, and walkable neighborhoods. This degree will prepare you for leadership roles in public service by giving you a strong foundation on how government works, a focus on urban planning and management, and tools to analyze complex problems. Students learn from scholars as well as experienced practitioners in the policy field. With the program based at UTSA's Downtown Campus, the city becomes part of our classroom experience. Students walk to City Hall for class field trips and complete internships at a range of agencies near campus. The program also offers students opportunities to study and gain professional experience in Washington, DC and at the state capitol in Austin, TX.
