The Department of Criminal Justice at UA Little Rock is Arkansas's flagship program in its discipline. Across all degree programs, the department provides students with the intellectual and practical skills that they need to become successful and socially responsible professionals. Our programs are lead by outstanding scholars who approach the study of crime and justice with a unique blend of research and practice.The following curriculum is offered to better assist law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties. The A.S. degree program requires a minimum of 60 hours, 20 of which must be sophomore level (2000 level) or above. All of the 60 hours may be applied to a 120 semester hour Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. The Associate of Arts may be completed in four semesters of full-time work (two years).
