This certificate is designed to offer a basic pattern of coursework that will prepare the participant to enter the professional field of Victim Services Advocacy within the contemporary Criminal Justice System as an assistant. The successful participant will gain sufficient skills and understanding of the Victim Services arena to interview, counsel, refer, case manage, and otherwise assist crime victims with the myriad problems associated with such victimization.
