The criminology and criminal justice major provides a social scientific grounding to issues of crime and criminal justice. Students explore the nature of criminal behavior (deviance vs. conformity) and its causes, as well as society's responses, through statistics-based research and coursework in subjects such as mental illness, law, substance abuse, immigration, criminology, and gender.
