A certificate of achievement may be earned by completing all the courses required for this major with a grade of C or better. We offer associate degrees and certificates of achievement in corrections and law enforcement, as well as certificates in several areas of specialization. But in our program, you will get more than an academic background. You'll also get hands-on experience actually doing the things that peace officers do every day. You'll learn how to use a baton and handcuffs, and how to take finger, foot and tire prints by actually doing it all. We even have a state-of-the-art firearms training simulator.<br>The Administration of Justice program provides students with the legal, ethical and educational background necessary to pursue a career in a criminal justice-related ¬eld and/or to successfully transition into a four-year academic program. The program prepares students for successful completion of the California Peace Officer Standards and Training and Department of Corrections academies. The program also supports administration of justice professionals by providing staff development opportunities and promotional pathways.
