The Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security provides a challenging interdisciplinary graduate program intended for students seeking employment or career advancement within the Department of Homeland Security, as well as associated state and local agencies. The Graduate Certificate is also suitable for students interested in emergency response, counterterrorism, and security-related jobs in the private sector. The Graduate Certificate can be taken jointly with the Master of Science in Intelligence and National Security Studies. The Homeland Security curriculum focuses on competencies suitable for jobs throughout the Homeland Security Enterprise (HSE) including Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the U.S. Secret Service, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), among others.
