Build the qualities you need to be a leader and decision-maker in the emergency management field. Develop the skills to build stable, resilient communities in the University of Central Missouri’s Crisis and Disaster Management BS program. Unlike most emergency management programs that focus only on how to respond to and recover from disasters, UCM’s Crisis and Disaster Management degree program also teaches you how to build community preparedness through proactive planning. Our degree is one of the oldest of its kind in the country and was the first in the state of Missouri. You’ll learn risk, crisis and disaster management skills from dedicated faculty members who have firsthand experience working in the field. In addition to teaching undergraduate program classes, Crisis and Disaster Management (CDM) program faculty members mentor you to help you develop professional skills, such as networking and career planning.
