The M.A. program in Media and Education reinvents the profile of educators, storytellers in schools, the media industry, and society. This program is a first of its kind partnership between the Department of Teaching and Leadership and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, combining the resources, faculty, and legacies of both renowned Schools. Media & Education graduates are experts in the complex synergies between media and education in our culture, on the leading edge of production, analysis, and innovative application of media in diverse environments. You'll master the process of critical thinking through provocative research, multimedia creations, thought-provoking films, challenging and honest conversations in colloquia, and interdisciplinary investigations. This program does not lead to certification, but is instead a deeper dive into both theories and practices of media.
