Applied Journalism prepares students for careers in print, broadcast and online journalism. Students take multiple writing and reporting classes to bolster their journalism skills. They also choose an outside area of study to hone specialized knowledge and to build their professional portfolios (in areas such as sports management, business, photography, etc). Students also actively participate with RMU Sentry Media, the studentrun news website, RMU Radio, and/or RMU-TV housed in the Academic Media Center.
