To be considered for undergraduate admission to University of Montana, all international applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting a score on an approved test or by qualifying for an exemption. To be eligible for admission, freshman students must have met/be on track to meet all upper/senior secondary school requirements with the equivalent of a 2.5 U.S. GPA to be automatically considered for admission to undergraduate programs. UM Undergraduate Admissions recognizes the following English proficiency tests. To meet the English proficiency requirement for each admission type, an applicant's test result needs to meet or exceed the posted minimum. TOEFL iBT 70, TOEFL PBT 525, IELTS Academic - 6.0.

As a journalism major, you can focus on one particular area of media to study, or create a broader educational experience for yourself. Youll learn to think critically about your community and the world, and tell stories that matter while building your media portfolio and professional network through extensive hands-on, real-world training. Our state-of-the-art facilities feature all the latest equipment for photography, TV, film and audio work in an intimate learning environment.<br><br>In addition to being experienced journalists, our faculty members are dedicated teachers and mentors. They know what the job is like, and they are here to support you through graduation and beyond.
